HAPPY SATURDAY!

What’s your balance for Happiness?

Are you ‘grounded’ – normally you can spot the ones who aren’t a mile away.  They can be the ‘hot heads’ who can’t talk without boulders flying out of their mouths or veins popping from their necks and eyeballs halfway out of their heads – whew, need a breather from this visual!

A successful measure of ‘groundedness’ puts you in complete control of your mental and especially, emotional self, and not easily influenced by other ideas or individuals – with an adverse social media climate, it’s easy to fall prey.  Grounded people allow life’s small mishaps to roll off their shoulders, especially if it gets a vein popping. Assimilate to happy moments, happy people.

Yin and Yang, Prayer, Meditation:

Yin and Yang

Despite constant changes and situations, a finite key aspect is to seek balance.  Neither are absolutes, but work as a perfect flow into each other. Make all forces work for you – don’t fall prey to the negatives, open your mind.   The excess of one can yield a breakdown in the body, illness, depression etc.

WIKIPEDIA:

“The yin and yang show a balance between two opposites with a portion of the opposite element in each section.
Distinctions between good and bad, along with other dichotomies of moral judgments, are perceptions, not real; so, the combination of yin and yang is an indivisible whole.”

“When people see things as beautiful, ugliness is created. When people see things as good, evil is created.”

Tao Te Ching

Examine your balance – sometimes you can’t do it alone, then perhaps need intervention to seek higher calling in prayer/ inspiration or cognitive thoughts of meditation.

PRAYER

higher deity for balance

Prayer takes your mind to a place of peace and exuberance.

As humans, we have a powerful ability to control our environment; prayer helps us see peace in pandemonium, healing in haphazardness, balance in busyness – a spiritual need to exercise this control.  An inner crutch that gives us the illusion of control over forces in the world that we think we have no control over.

MEDITATION

Like exercise, it’s the ‘drug you need’, that you don’t go out to find, nor need money to get – the addiction to have.
The popularity of meditation is increasing as more people discover its benefits.

Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts.  It elevates you spiritually, helping you to connect to a higher consciousness.

In keeping with Happiness, I will decipher the process of Meditation in the near future, to define the process for you – it involves:

  • Bring your attention to “stilling” your body, from head, shoulders, arms, legs to feet
  • Focus on your breathing: the air flowing in through your nose and slowly out through your mouth; the filling and emptying of it in your belly
  • Don’t try to control your breathing – make it normal

Find and spend time, daily, in prayer or/and meditation – balance will follow, Happy will show through.
