Living With Happy

Riddle me this…how is it that the person closest to you is the one that brings you the most distress.  No! Shocker?

According to Psychotherapist, Joanna Pantazi, Youniverse.com, it is actually confirmed by research that we are more likely to be quarrelsome to the ones we know better and love the most.

Contention is mostly exerted towards significant others and siblings. Regardless of whether it is direct or indirect, the fact is that we all hurt the ones we love the most, be it intentionally or unintentionally.

Some of us are not as fortunate to be truly happy living with someone who is open, understand, sincerely loving, mindful of feelings, congruous in communication, agreeing to disagree on matters.
If not hopefully you are not waiting for your significant other to bring you happiness, “hell may just freeze over” first.  In my lengthy lifespan I have found that people cannot be happy with a partner who seems to burn-up  their innards and ‘fingernail-screech’ their ears to no end [nagging, disagreeing partners].  Quite a number of husbands pander un-reluctantly to their wives [instead of a cohesive union of communication] living in a “if she ain’t happy nobody ain’t happy” mentality. That’s life in the silent melee of a monstrous union.  I wonder who came up with such crock of crap phrase, and what’s even more pathetic is that they recite that mantra like toddlers on a rocking horse – laughing like it’s normal, accepted everyday life – notice. No, it’s idiotic!

You know what, I have found that those who echo that sentiment are usually the ones who detest their partners, go figure.

Some of us live with people who wear on our happy graces, but as you manifest the happiness within you, you have to find that glimmer of light to fly up to the joy you are so due.

Don’t make living with a nightmare steal your happiness in this smidgen of time we have on earth.  Yet be cautious in seeking the happiness destination, with someone else.  No sir-ree, happiness is not ‘somewhere else’, it is where you are.

Do Happy!

Get in a habit of swaddling yourself in activities that release those ‘feel good’ hormones – extract those Happiness juices to constantly flow:

  • Immerse yourself in bliss: an enlightening scenery/ location; a sport; a workout; a walk; a bike ride.
  • Find things to do that makes you happy: read books/magazines; attend concerts/shows.  Many people I found can’t do such things unless they are with someone – Remember, you ALONE make your happiness.  They can’t workout or enjoy activities unless they are with someone else – when ‘someone’ is not there they deprive their own bodies of health and strength . . . and happiness.
  • With a gloomy killjoy downer, you need to accent negative talk with positives, always take the “ice cream road”, dig into the sweet part of your cranium and role out the nice stuff from your lips.  Generate happy!
