Who would think the time would come when one would worry about proper fitness at home – being able to ‘muscle through’ without the gym. I can see the ones just paunchy jovial about this because their no-fit routine is a breeze at this point.
COVID-19 has forced us into really catching up w/ the unfit population, but for those of us finding ways to trudge on, the happy-camper bug is ignited.

If you are like my friend who insist she will start workout – for months – even with feeling the clothing “squeeze” , but to no avail. This mantra snaggles my ears, so in good conscience, I emphatically, right away, toss in the positivity of how continued workout can overturn that. There are tons of people with that mantra, which doesn’t seem to fizzle out – like the joy is in the ‘saying’ not the ‘doing’. Are you that person?
In these times with a ‘stay home’ mantra this is the perfect time to be mindful of the myriad to things we can do – my 100+ year old dad always say to me “you have to keep moving, you know” – what simple SOUND advice!
You CAN be happy in workout. First, it’s a good practice to have your head in that plac: put the benefits in place. If you think workout is a bother it will always be. Hey think life, think less pills, think strong joints, think wellness, think good sleep, think high – when those feel-good hormones kick in it’s a natural “high” your brain will thank you for.
GRATITUDE: Look, if you are blessed with legs that you can use, walking is a great workout breakthrough. I love Houston because it’s so walking/jogging friendly – sidewalks galore! My neighborhood in Florida Panhandle is not so friendly but I make a walking route, it’s doable and safe without sidewalks (drivers are watchful).
Don’t just babble it, bring it!
