Happy in COVID Time

Beauty at Home

Unprecedented!  You most likely heard this word more than ever this COVID time.  Because so much is unprecedented in the way we operate in many processes at work, church, sports, and home. Surrender to happy, not to hapless.

My daughter, the Director of Infection Prevention at a hospital had been inundated, initially, setting “unprecedented” processes in place – “on call” constantly for doctors and nurses who leaned on her instead of their Head Nurse – it became anguishing.  She endured, she persevered!

What is your COVID life like – hopefully Happy!

Despite the anthem of this time ‘stay at home’/’stay away’, that doesn’t mean being cooped up to a life of prisonhood.  And most important – not to reel your life into unpleasantries.  What I see manifesting is that people, in atrocious numbers, are letting others steal their happiness.

As in my initial blog post happiness is in you”, it STILL is :

  • Do activities you enjoy and can still do relative to public restrictions
  • Learn a new skill, whether singing (can be a toughie, but doable) or creating sound from an instrument or painting (also doable), to name a few
  • Plant a garden – so rewarding to see growth and get nutrition
  • Take breaks from news stories – likely to resist ‘stolen happiness
  • Muster yourself to as much a normal life you needfully can achieve
Happy making life normal

Don’t get political – notice when that comes out any chance of happy is stifled.  Once one gets political the ugly comes out, and the skunk is rampant.   If you know that happiness comes from within, and love encompasses that, you can equate that those people don’t love themselves which would then be foolish to expect any love from them – you know them when they speak. Keep Happiness alive!

By the grace of protection and love may you be safe, may you find the normal in your life that would drive boredom and inactivity – may you find your happy!
